The cenotaph is located off the intersection at Main Street and 3rd Avenue in Minitonas. It was officially unveiled on July 30, 1922. It was dedicated to the soldiers who had fallen in World War 1 between 1914 and 1918 at the Battle of the Somme, the Battle of Vimy Ridge, the Battle of Ypres, and at Lens. Also attached is a plaque dedicated to the soldiers who died in World War 2 between 1939 and 1945.
